Deep Tissue

Deep Tissue Massage is a form of bodywork that aims to relieve tension in the deeper layers of tissue in the body. Deep Tissue Massage is a highly effective method for releasing chronic stress areas due to misalignment, repetitive motions, and past lingering injuries. Due to the nature of the deep tissue work, open communication during the session is crucial to make sure you don’t get too uncomfortable.

A type of deep tissue massage where the therapist uses her feet instead of her hands to access the deeper layers of the body. Parallel, wooden bars are positioned over the massage table to help her keep her balance, during the standing work. Some of the work is practiced with her seated on a stool at the head of the table.

Reflexology (available with LaVonna)

Reflexology is a focused pressure technique performed on the feet based on the premise that there are zones and reflexes on different parts of the body which corresponds to and are relative to all parts, glands and organs of the entire body. When the reflexes are stimulated by the therapist applying pressure with her hands, the body’s natural electrical energy works along the nervous system to clear any blockages in the corresponding zones. A reflexology session is intended to break up deposits (felt as a sandy or gritty area under the skin) which may interfere with this natural flow of the body’s energy. We offer reflexology as a stand alone service and also as an add-on to other massage services that LaVonna offers. Clients can remain fully clothed during a session.

Massage Cupping is a modern adaptation of the ancient art of cupping therapy. While massage is performed by applying pressure, cupping instead uses negative pressure to pull, lift, open and expand the body’s soft tissues.

Prenatal Massage is a style of bodywork designed specifically for pregnant women. Pregnancy is a time when a woman’s body endures tremendous stress due to dramatic physical and emotional changes. Using various techniques specially developed for the expecting mother, Pregnancy Massage helps release the pain and discomfort experienced throughout pregnancy. Lomi Lomi

Lomi Lomi is an ancient, Hawaiian healing practice in which the therapist uses their hands or forearms to apply long, deep strokes that help release blockages and promote circulation in the body. It is sometimes referred to as a ‘loving hands massage.’ Lomi lomi massage techniques are rhythmic in nature so each stroke has its own flowing style that works with your body’s natural rhythms. This helps facilitate release of emotional tensions as well as physical ones – making it a wonderfully holistic experience that aids both physical and emotional health.

Experience a new dimension of relaxation with our CBD oil massage add-on. Indulge in a blissful journey where tranquility meets rejuvenation. CBD Oil can work together with massage therapy to lower pain and inflammation and increase relaxation. Adding CBD oil may increase pain relief as the CBD oil binds to the cannabinoid receptors that are a part of the body’s endocannabinoid system.

Chair Massage

During a chair massage, the client remains fully clothed and sits in a specialized chair designed for the client to rest forward slightly, with their arms and legs supported. A face cradle supports the client’s head. The therapist massages  through the client’s clothes so there is no use of cream during this type of session unless indicated for the forearms, hands, and neck. Chair massage is a good option for clients who may not be able to rest comfortably on a massage table, or who prefer to remain fully clothed.

Available for corporate or community events. Please contact the studio for pricing.
